However, anal cancer is not to be dismissed if you notice any of these symptoms. Anal cancer is extremely rare, with only one to six cases diagnosed in the United States each year. This type of cancer generally spreads slowly, making it easy to detect early. Listed below are the main symptoms to look for.

First, you may notice the onset of frequent bowel movements, especially if your faecal incontinence is a problem. You may also experience frequent pooing and looser stools. You may also notice that you have difficulty controlling your bowels or that you have a problem with bowel movements. Of course, some people have no symptoms at all. For this reason, anal cancer is difficult to detect without a medical examination.

Another symptom of anal cancer is pain. This symptom is a result of the tumor’s growth. If you feel a hard lump in your anal region, it may be the sign of anal cancer. Anal cancer is difficult to diagnose unless it has spread to nearby organs, so you’ll need to go to a doctor to have it examined. Anal cancer is more likely to cause pain and a burning sensation in the anus than a hemorrhoid.

Anal cancer symptoms can be difficult to identify. Some people experience frequent or loose poo. Others may not have any symptoms at all, and only suffer from a few minor symptoms. While chemoradiation is the primary form of treatment for anal cancer, surgery is an option only if other methods of treatment have failed. The surgeon may remove the entire tumour or just the tumour. During a local excision, a small tumour is removed. This is a relatively straightforward procedure that requires just one surgical visit. Patients will spend a few days in hospital afterward. On the other hand, a larger tumor may need to be removed. During an abdominoperineal resection, the patient undergoes a more complex operation. This operation is also performed under general anaesthetic.

When cancer is found in the anal area, it tends to spread to other areas of the body. In most cases, anal cancer spreads to nearby organs or distant parts of the body. In fact, twenty percent of people diagnosed with anal cancer have no symptoms. Instead, they are diagnosed with stage IIIA or stage IV. For the latter, treatment is different. The prognosis varies greatly depending on the location of the tumour and the type of treatment.

Depending on the size of the tumour, the cancer can be localized or spread to nearby lymph nodes. On average, the cancer will spread to other organs. The cancer will also spread to the lymph nodes in the anal area. Typically, the cancer is internal. It can’t be felt without a medical exam. Anal cancer can feel more hard than a hemorrhoid.
