These signs can also be caused by changes in the size of the intestines. If these symptoms persist, you may need to speak with your doctor. Having an early diagnosis of anal cancer is very important to optimize treatment options. You should also be aware of other anal cancer symptoms.

The first symptom of anal cancer is the tendency to itch. While this is a very common symptom, it can also be confusing. Many people may have this problem and have no idea that they have it. However, anal cancer can be detected by a routine digital rectal exam or minor surgical procedure. A biopsy can be performed to confirm the diagnosis and have it examined by a pathologist. Then, your doctor will perform a staged workup, including abdominal and pelvic CT scans, an ultrasound of the lymph nodes, liver function studies, and PET scans.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should visit your doctor right away. It is important to know the causes of anal cancer and the symptoms to look for. You should avoid using anti-depressants while you’re fighting the disease, and you should limit your alcohol intake to limit the risk of developing the condition. Aside from medications, there are also some lifestyle changes that you should consider. The most obvious of these can be weight gain, in which case you should avoid using certain products.

In addition to these symptoms, you may experience heavy rectal bleeding. Moreover, the bleeding should not be responding to home care. If you have these symptoms in combination with fever, weight loss, or a change in your bowel habits, you should seek medical advice. Anal cancer tends to spread slowly, so it is crucial to detect it as soon as possible. If the cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, treatment may be easier and the disease can be cured in a much shorter period of time.

Although these symptoms are very common, they can also be caused by other, less serious conditions. Some of these conditions can be easily mistaken for anal cancer symptoms. This is why more than half of anal cancer cases go undetected. Anal cancer can cause other health problems and may have no symptoms. It is therefore crucial to see a doctor as soon as possible if you think you might have the disease. It is also essential to have regular checkups, as anal cancer can lead to relapse or worsening of other illnesses.
