If you notice one or more of these symptoms, it is important to see your doctor for an examination. While it’s rare for appendix cancer to produce any symptoms in its early stages, if you are experiencing any of the following, it’s a good idea to seek medical attention. If you suspect that you have the disease, you should schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss your options.

The first symptom of appendix cancer is abdominal pain. You may also experience a bowel obstruction. You may feel an urge to vomit, even though you have no signs of nausea or vomiting. The tumor is a symptom of appendicitis, and the most common type of appendix cancer. The next defining feature of appendix cancer is its size. The average size of an appendix tumor is about two to four centimeters, and its girth is about eight inches.

A tumor containing tumor cells may be characterized by a variety of characteristics. A tumor may be a mixture of these characteristics. It may rupture or contain a mix of characteristics. It may be a solid or liquid mass. In either case, it is important to see a doctor for an exam. The tumor may have a mucus-secreting goblet cell, or it may have no goblet cell at all.

Other appendix cancer symptoms may be related to other conditions. Other less common symptoms may be sharp pain in the lower right belly, fever, diarrhea, and blood in the stool. Your doctor will also look for pain in the pelvic area. Loss of appetite, shortness of breath, and bowel movements may be symptoms of cancer. It’s important to see your doctor if any of these symptoms persist. After surgery, you’ll need to undergo chemotherapy.

If your appendix is inflamed, it may rupture and allow the cancer cells to spread to the peritoneal cavity. If you have a mass, it is likely to be cancerous. If it’s inflamed, it may require cytoreduction surgery. If the tumor has spread to lymph nodes, chemotherapy is necessary. The cancer may have spread to other parts of the body, requiring a cytoreduction operation.

You may have a family history of the disease. Several factors can increase your risk of the disease. People who smoke, drink alcohol, or are overweight are at increased risk. To reduce your risk of developing appendix cancer, it’s important to quit smoking and maintain a healthy weight. During pregnancy, women should avoid taking drugs. To protect themselves from cancer, patients should have regular checkups. They should undergo regular screenings for breast and colon cancer.
