Listed below are some of the main Gallbladder Cancer Symptoms. Symptoms of the disease may vary depending on its stage. Your doctor will conduct several tests to diagnose the condition. The tests include a blood test that measures bilirubin levels, which may indicate a problem with the gallbladder. Lab tests may also reveal abnormalities in your liver. In addition, two blood proteins are usually elevated in patients with advanced stages of gall bladder cancer.

The American Cancer Society has four different stages of gallbladder cancer. Stage I is the earliest form of the disease, if the cancer has not spread beyond the gallbladder’s mucosa. Stage IIb is the most severe type, having spread beyond the gallbladder to surrounding muscles and connective tissues. Stage IIIB is a very advanced form, affecting the gallbladder’s outer layer, surrounding blood vessels, and lymph nodes.

There are several ways to reduce your risk of gallbladder cancer. One way is to live a healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet is key to keeping your immune system strong. You should limit processed and fried food and consume at least two and a half cups of fruit and vegetables every day. Avoid red meat and processed food. As far as exercise goes, moderate exercise is recommended to keep your body fit and strong.

Most patients will experience some type of abdominal pain, especially in the upper right abdomen. Additionally, there will usually be a general loss of appetite. However, gallbladder cancer symptoms can be mistaken for the symptoms of other conditions. You can also develop jaundice, a condition caused by a gallbladder tumor blocking the bile duct. The yellowing of your skin and eyes can also cause an intense itching sensation. Jaundice may also lead to light or gray stools.

Although the symptoms of gallbladder cancer can be difficult to spot, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Luckily, gallbladder cancer is not life-threatening when detected early. However, it can lead to fatal complications if not diagnosed properly. Once diagnosed, gallbladder cancer is treatable and often curable. Once you know what the symptoms are, you can make an informed decision.

The early signs of gallbladder cancer are hard to detect. The condition may not be diagnosed until after it spreads to other areas of the body. Endoscopy and specialized imaging tests can help determine if the disease has spread. The gallbladder stores bile produced by the liver. Bile is released into the small intestine to aid digestion. Gallbladder cancer is almost always adenocarcinoma, which begins in glandular cells. Although the exact cause of gallbladder cancer is not known, it is believed to be triggered by a mistake in DNA that leads to the rapid growth of cancer cells.

Patients who experience bile duct cancer can undergo a biopsy or other tests. The biopsy can reveal a tumor, although the doctor may also suspect the condition if you’re experiencing some other symptom. Imaging tests can detect tumor markers in the blood. Imaging tests are also used to confirm the diagnosis. Ultrasound is usually the first imaging test, but CT cholangiography or magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) are sometimes necessary to determine whether the disease is present.

However, some symptoms of gallbladder cancer may not be visible until it’s in its later stages. Often, these symptoms may be due to other health conditions. The gallbladder cancer may be mistaken for a benign gallstone or even another ailment. Some people develop this disease without any symptoms and have no idea of it. But the good news is that there are ways to prevent gallbladder cancer by ensuring that you lead a healthy lifestyle and practice healthy habits.

Early symptoms of gallbladder cancer can be subtle or even non-existent. Although the disease can be curable if detected early, the symptoms of this cancer can be masked by other illnesses. This makes it vital to take the appropriate action as soon as you discover them. In addition to gallstone symptoms, gallbladder cancer patients often suffer from a high fever, jaundice, and pain.

Surgical procedures may be required to treat gallbladder cancer. These may include a laparoscopy, which uses a thin, lighted tube inserted through the abdomen. The laparoscope may also be used to remove organs and collect tissue samples for biopsy. In addition to performing surgery, laparoscopy also identifies whether the cancer has spread.
