Colorectal cancer symptoms vary from person to person and depend on the size and location of the cancer. People of all ages can experience colorectal cancer symptoms. Some people may experience other conditions that mimic these symptoms. Infection, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and other GI problems can all produce similar symptoms. Fortunately, you should get checked for colorectal cancer symptoms if you experience any of these conditions.

Symptoms of colorectal cancer may be less obvious than other conditions, including hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, and hemorrhoids. While they are common, you should see your doctor if you notice any of them. A physician can perform a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. If you’re experiencing a lot of these symptoms, you may have colorectal cancer.

While colorectal cancer is more common in men than women, 1 in every 24 women will get the disease in her lifetime. The symptoms can be difficult to distinguish from other health conditions, however, because many of them are similar. If you notice abdominal pain or bloating, or have difficulty breathing or bowel movements, consult your doctor as soon as possible. You should also consider having a colonoscopy if you suspect you might have colorectal cancer.

In stage III, the cancer has spread beyond the colon wall to the lymph nodes. The cancer has spread to four to six lymph nodes. Stage IIIB is characterized by cancer that has spread to organs in the abdominal cavity, including the liver and lungs. Luckily, a doctor can detect colorectal cancer at this stage. It’s not easy to detect this cancer early, but it’s not impossible if you notice any of the symptoms listed above.

Although most people don’t have any colorectal cancer symptoms, it is advisable to get screened if you notice any of these conditions. Remember that early diagnosis will greatly improve your chances of survival, as it will allow you to remove the cancerous cells before they spread. You should visit your doctor as soon as possible, especially if you have a family history of colon cancer. A cancer diagnosis will be easier to treat, as the earlier you are diagnosed, the more effective and beneficial your treatment will be.

While colorectal cancer does not have any recognizable symptoms, it can develop in stages 1-2 years after the first signs of the disease. This is why screening is so important. Screening tests can detect cancer-bearing colon cells before they become noticeable. In addition, screening guidelines for rectal cancer can also be helpful. The best way to detect colorectal cancer is to have a regular screening with your doctor.

The condition of the patient’s colon will determine the stage of the cancer. Treatment options for colon cancer vary by type. Patients with stage 0 colon cancer may receive treatment with a coloscopy. Patients with stage I or II colorectal cancer may require more invasive surgery, such as a colostomy bag. However, the results of such surgery should be well documented. If a cancer has spread to other organs, additional chemotherapy may be needed.

Blood in the stool may be bright red, brick red, or black. Other symptoms of colorectal cancer include anemia and low red blood cell count. The patient should seek medical attention if any of these symptoms persist. Symptoms of colorectal cancer may be confused with symptoms of other illnesses. Always have your blood checked to rule out any health issues. These symptoms may indicate a serious condition. A doctor can also order a blood test to check for anemia and determine whether a patient has cancer.

Most cases of colorectal cancer are adenocarcinoma, a type of cancer that starts as a polyp. During a routine colonoscopy, a doctor can remove polyps before they turn into cancerous tumors. However, this treatment is not always an option, and is often not necessary if the condition does not progress to this stage. You should schedule a colonoscopy for a screening.
