Although liver cancer is uncommon in the U.S., it is growing in prevalence. Most cases start elsewhere and spread to the liver. Another type of cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer, begins in the bile duct. It is the fourth most deadly type of cancer in the U.S., with nearly 19,000 deaths expected in 2010 alone. Although there are no specific symptoms for this type of cancer, many factors may increase your risk of developing it.

Lung cancer ranks number one on the list of most deadly cancers in the world. In 2016, it claimed nearly 1.5 million lives. The cause of lung cancer is the wide use of tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes. Patients with lung cancer experience chronic coughing and difficulty breathing. Chest radiography, CT scans, and biopsy are the only ways to confirm the diagnosis. Lung cancer is the number one killer of women and the second-leading cause of death among men.

Pancreatic cancer accounts for 6 percent of all deaths caused by malignant diseases. Since the disease is a silent killer, symptoms are difficult to notice before the disease spreads. Early signs and symptoms can be mistaken for other health issues. Only 6% of pancreatic cancer patients survive five years after being diagnosed at a late stage. So, you must understand the dangers and know what to do to reduce your risk.

Every year, new types of cancer are discovered. Cancer can strike any age group. Both men and women are susceptible to several types. Cancerous growth depends on several factors. Age, genetics, lifestyle, exposure to chemicals, and radiation, and even viral illnesses. Knowing what to look for early can help you prevent the disease altogether. It can be difficult to tell which cancer is the most dangerous if you do not know the symptoms. However, there are several ways to recognize the disease and treat it before it becomes serious.

While cancer care has come a long way, it is still a major cause of death. In the U.S., more than 3 million people die from it each year. Although some types of cancer are more common in specific demographic groups, cancer remains the second leading cause of death in the country. However, the most common types of cancer are breast cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and lung. Skin cancer is fifth in terms of number of deaths and is much more common in African-American men.

Lung cancer is the deadliest of all cancers, and it has a shorter lifespan than a colon or pancreatic cancer. While breast cancer has the highest mortality rate among women, it is also the most popular, most-feared, and most-supported. Unfortunately, the number of people affected by cancer is not enough to adequately fund research on this disease. It is also difficult to track funding for cancer research, especially because there are so many organizations dedicated to fighting this disease.
