The most common symptoms of a CVA stroke are speech problems, drooping of the face and lips, confusion, and slurred or repeated words. Some people may even experience sudden numbness and weakness. Symptoms will vary from person to person, but may include problems with vision, movement, or reflexes. Symptoms can also include trouble understanding, speaking, or even speaking. Those who experience any of these symptoms should seek medical treatment right away.

Although men have a higher risk of developing a stroke, women are more likely to suffer from one. In fact, women make up more than half of all stroke fatalities. Women who are pregnant also have a higher risk of a stroke, and they are also more likely to delay seeking medical attention. Additionally, African Americans are twice as likely as Caucasians to develop a stroke, and they have higher rates of hypertension. Hispanics also have a higher risk of a stroke than Caucasians.

Those with CVA stroke symptoms should call 911 as soon as possible. The timeframe to intervene is very short. The patient may not be aware of his or her symptoms, so family members or bystanders will need to confirm information. It may be difficult for a person to communicate properly with someone who is unconscious, but a speech therapist can help them communicate better. Once the patient is stabilized, the healthcare team can start the treatment process by removing the clot.

Symptoms of a CVA include a numbness or weakness on one side of the body. In some cases, the brain is affected on both sides, with the left side affecting the right side affecting the left. Another symptom is difficulty speaking or slurred speech. If the stroke is caused by a ruptured blood vessel, this is often the cause of the symptoms of a CVA.

Symptoms of a CVA are different from person to person. The severity and location of the blockage will determine the symptoms. Those suffering from a CVA should seek medical attention right away, as every second counts. The sooner the stroke victim receives medical care, the better their chances of recovering. If the brain does not receive enough blood, it may be too late to save the victim’s life. Therefore, it’s important to know the symptoms of CVA to determine the correct treatment for your stroke.

A CVA stroke is caused by a blood clot in the artery supplying the brain. When this happens, the blood flow to this area is blocked, and the cells in this part of the brain start to die. The clots can lodge anywhere in the arteries that supply the brain. To survive a CVA stroke, it is important to seek emergency medical attention. Even if there is no blood supply, doctors will still administer clot-busting drugs to restore the blood supply in 3 to four and half hours.
