The early stages of Parkinson’s disease do not have many symptoms. The patient may have difficulty concentrating and speech may become slurred. There may also be problems with smell or vision. In many cases, the patient can be able to manage the symptoms with medication. As the disease progresses, the symptoms may become more severe and may interfere with daily activities. Some patients can be unable to stand alone or walk properly.

Most people who develop PD will experience tremor in one or more of their limbs. The tremor is usually found on one side of the body, and it tends to become worse over time. Other PD symptoms include general slowness of movement. This slowness can make a person feel tired or incoordinate.

Exercise can help reduce the symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease. Getting regular exercise will increase muscle strength and flexibility and improve balance. It can also help decrease feelings of depression and anxiety. A physical therapist can also help you develop an exercise program that is appropriate for your situation. Depending on your symptoms, you may be encouraged to try swimming, walking, or stretching. When exercising, it is important to stay relaxed and avoid moving too quickly.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects certain groups of nerve cells in the brain. The loss of these nerve cells causes a decrease in dopamine, a brain chemical that regulates movement. In patients suffering from this disease, neurons in the substantia nigra begin to malfunction. This in turn reduces the amount of dopamine in the brain, causing difficulty with movement.

In many cases, patients with Parkinson disease can live a long, happy, and independent life with proper medication. This is due to a number of treatments. The disease may not be curable, but it can be managed with medications. In the early stages, the patient can even still lead a productive lifestyle. However, the disease may progress slowly and without treatment, it may result in a loss of the ability to walk and move freely.

The first stage of the disease is known as “motor tremors.” In advanced stages, the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease may lead to a loss of muscle control, difficulty with balance, and difficulty speaking. The symptoms can also cause an increase in fatigue. In fact, some people with this disorder cannot walk or talk and may experience difficulty swallowing.
