“I Never Expected This – But I’m Grateful I Found a Way”
My name is Elida, and I live in southeast Florida. In December 2022, my world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer – a rare form that affects women who have never smoked. I had always been active and athletic. I never imagined this would happen to me.
The first treatment helped for a while… until it didn’t. We were preparing to start something new, and that’s when a dear friend remembered someone she had seen years ago. She told me to look him up – and I did.
What happened next gave me new strength. I connected with someone who truly listened, and I received a treatment that offered a different kind of support – one that felt deeply personal and aligned with something inside me.
After going through it, my doctors told me my lungs were now clear. Only one tumor remained. I’ve just started a second round, and I’m filled with renewed hope.
