This disease is often diagnosed after the tumor has spread to other parts of the body. The most obvious symptom of appendix cancer is the rupture of the appendix, which may result in a condition called pseudomyxoma peritonei. In this case, the tumor cells secrete a protein gel, known as mucin, which accumulates in the abdominal cavity.

The symptoms of appendix cancer are similar to those of cancer of the small intestine, but can be more severe. In addition, tumors in the appendix may secrete a substance called serotonin, which is associated with nausea, vomiting, blood vessel constriction, and mood regulation. A diagnosis of appendiceal cancer can be made only after a surgical procedure to remove the affected appendix. This disease is more common in women than in men, and it occurs equally in men and women.

While appendix cancer is not common, it is important to seek medical treatment as early as possible. While this type of cancer is extremely rare, it is not rare. The most common types of appendix cancer occur in men and women aged 40 to 60 years. A doctor will likely recommend an MRI scan to examine the condition of the appendix. This test will reveal the extent of the tumor and the location and size. If the tumor has spread, chemotherapy may be an option.

If cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, it may require surgery to remove the appendix. If cancer has spread to the abdominal cavity, a cytoreduction surgery may be required. Because appendix cancer is so rare, it is not added to the cancer registry. Because of this, there are several types of appendix cancer. Luckily, it is more common in women than in men and is slightly more common in women.

While appendix cancer can be a serious condition, the symptoms do not always indicate that you have it. The symptoms of appendix cancer are usually a warning sign of a more serious disease. If you have a family history of cancer, you should consider having your physician check it out immediately. The appendix is the largest organ in the body. A normal tumor should not be large enough to cause any noticeable discomfort.

The most common appendix cancer symptom is appendicitis. The disease may also be accompanied by other symptoms of cancer. Fortunately, many people are able to live a long and healthy life after developing appendicitis. While it is uncommon to have cancer in the appendix, the symptoms can be very different from one another. Some of the symptoms are more severe than others. Some women may experience pelvic pain. Those with other conditions, like smoking, are at a higher risk for developing the disease.
