If you notice some of the symptoms listed above, you may have gallbladder cancer. There are various types of cancer of the gallbladder, including those relating to inflammation of the gallbladder. In addition to this, there are also some risk factors for gallbladder cancer, including chronic inflammation of the gallbladder and having family members with the disease. Unfortunately, many people do not discover their gallbladder cancer until it is in an advanced stage and has spread to other organs and tissues throughout the body.

Abdominal pain is one of the first symptoms that accompanies gallbladder cancer in about half of patients. It usually affects the upper right portion of the abdomen, and is easily treated with anti-sickness medication. Jaundice, a condition caused by too much bilirubin in the blood, is another common symptom. This disease causes the skin to turn yellow, as well as the whites of the eyes. It also causes the person to develop pale stools and urine.

While the symptoms of gallbladder cancer may not be immediately apparent, the majority will occur at some point during the disease. Many of these symptoms are common, and the early diagnosis of gallbladder cancer may lead to better treatment options. Many of the symptoms of gallbladder cancer are similar to those of gallstones and inflammation. While some people may experience stomach pain and nausea, this is a sign that you need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

MRIs are another important diagnostic tool. These scans use X-rays to make images of the gallbladder. CT and MRI scans can help doctors determine whether gallbladder cancer has spread to other areas of the body. A physical exam is also important to detect the symptoms of gallbladder cancer. An ultrasound, CT, and MRI are common imaging tools. The doctor may perform a diagnostic laparoscopy, which inserts a thin tube with a camera inside the abdomen. A cholangiogram may be necessary to see if there is a narrowing of the bile duct, which could indicate gallbladder cancer.

A few signs of gallbladder cancer can include pain in the right upper quadrant and a Courvoisier sign, which shows chronic malign obstruction. Additionally, hepatomegaly or an abdominal mass may be present. In advanced stages, bowel obstruction or hepatomegaly are other common symptoms. Surgery is the only effective treatment for gallbladder cancer, but it may take years to detect.

Stage IIb is the lowest of these symptoms. The cancer has spread to the outer layer of the gallbladder, but has not yet reached the liver. Stage IIIB, on the other hand, involves the cancer spreading to a nearby organ or structure. At this stage, surgery is a viable option, but only if the cancer is caught early enough. The cancer has also spread to lymph nodes in the area.

There are several causes of gallbladder cancer. Certain medications, like isoniazid, methylcellulose, and radon, are known to cause gallbladder cancer. Other risk factors include lifestyle, inflammatory bowel disease, and chronic primary sclerosing cholangitis. Aside from lifestyle factors, gallbladder cancer is very common and can be deadly if not detected early.

Stage IIIb: A tumor of any size and location that has spread to nearby lymph nodes and distant organs, but not to the liver itself, is considered stage IIIb. Stage IIIb tumors are considered to have spread to nearby lymph nodes, arteries, and veins. If this is the case, it is time to seek treatment immediately. A biopsy is the most common procedure for the detection of gallbladder cancer.

The early signs of gallbladder cancer may be hard to recognize. Because gallbladder cancer starts in glandular cells, early symptoms may go undetected for years. If detected early, gallbladder cancer can spread throughout the body, causing symptoms that may include bleeding, abdominal pain, and nausea. This type of cancer is also often asymptomatic. There are no specific symptoms for this type of cancer, and it is important to get a proper diagnosis in order to minimize the risk of gallbladder cancer.

Women are twice as likely to develop gallbladder cancer than men. Although women are more prone than men to develop gallbladder cancer, the disease is rare. In fact, about four out of five people with gallstones will never develop the disease. Therefore, gallbladder cancer is a minor subset of people. The signs of gallbladder cancer include persistent inflammation of the gallbladder, which increases the risk of developing the disease.
