Symptoms of liver cancer depend on the type you have and may not be apparent in early stages. However, you can be on the lookout for any of these warning signs. You may be experiencing right upper quadrant pain, fever, rash, or elevation of the pulse. Liver cancer symptoms may mimic those of other conditions, so it is important to be screened for any changes. In addition, your symptoms may include bleeding and changes in your mood.

Blood clotting factors are made by the liver. When this is compromised, it leads to bleeding. Bleeding and anemia are the common symptoms of anemia. Anemia is a common sign of liver cancer. It can also lead to fatigue, pale skin, rapid heart rate, and rapid breathing. In some cases, it can even lead to internal hemorrhaging. If any of these signs appear in you, seek medical attention immediately.

Primary liver cancer occurs when cells in the liver develop mutations in their DNA. DNA provides instructions for every chemical process in the body, so any mutations will cause the cells to grow out of control and form tumors. Some people without other underlying conditions can develop the disease. The cause is unknown, but chronic hepatitis infections are one known risk factor. People with any of these risk factors are more likely to develop primary liver cancer than those without.

Primary liver cancer is a rare disease that starts in the liver. It is different from secondary cancer, which is the result of another type of cancer spreading to the liver. Primary liver cancer symptoms are similar to those of bile duct cancer. The latter includes obstruction of bile duct and jaundice. You should consult your GP immediately if you suspect you have liver cancer. While symptoms of primary liver cancer can be common, they may be caused by something else.

Several complications of liver cancer may occur as a result of cirrhosis, which is another type of cancer. A bile duct is a tube-like structure that runs through the liver. These ducts transport bile to the gallbladder, which aids in digestion. There are two types of bile duct cancer: extrahepatic bile duct cancer and intrahepatic bile duct cancer. Although rare, these diseases affect about 8,000 people a year in the United States.

If you suspect you may have liver cancer, your physician may recommend a liver transplant. However, if you have cirrhosis, you may have to wait for a long time before you can get the liver you need. Your treatment team may suggest alternative therapies while you wait for the organ. If you are unable to get a transplant, your doctor may perform a surgery called chemoembolisation, which involves injecting a cocktail of chemotherapy directly into the area of your liver with the cancer.

Your doctor may conduct a biopsy. A biopsy involves the removal of a small piece of liver tissue from your body for analysis. The pathologist will look for cancer cells in this sample. Other treatments for liver cancer depend on the stage and type of cancer, as well as your general health. A biopsy also depends on the extent of your disease, and may require additional tests. Even though biopsy is the most reliable way of diagnosing a tumor in the liver, it can still be difficult to diagnose.

Liver cancer symptoms are not consistent with each patient. Some may be symptoms of other conditions. Liver cancer symptoms are usually not apparent until a tumor has grown large enough to push against other organs. This means it may take months or even years for symptoms to appear. If you suspect you have a tumor in the liver, it is important to seek treatment as soon as possible. However, the earlier you can detect the cancer, the sooner it can be detected and treated.

Chemotherapy is another option for reducing the size of a tumor. It can be given by injection into the portal vein or as a systemic treatment. This form of treatment is effective for primary liver cancer but can have some serious side effects. In addition to systemic treatments, there are a number of treatments for liver cancer patients. Some medications, such as Metformin, can reduce the growth of a tumor by inhibiting blood flow to it.

Some people may not develop primary liver cancer, but they do have risk factors for developing it. Those who have these risk factors may already have similar symptoms, so it is important to be vigilant in monitoring your symptoms. If you experience any of these symptoms, it may be time to get an MRI. You may even want to have your doctor conduct a liver scan to check if you have cancer. If it is, you will need further tests.
