What Are the Pancreatic Cancer Symptoms? Listed below are the signs and symptoms of this serious disease. Fortunately, most people are not diagnosed with pancreatic cancer until the last stage. Listed below are some of the symptoms of pancreatic cancer that should prompt you to seek medical attention. A high temperature or distension may be a sign of pancreatic cancer. Indigestion can also be a symptom. It is normal to experience indigestion, but if it is persistent, it should be investigated by a doctor. Other symptoms of pancreatic cancer include blood clots in the legs or deeper veins.

During the early stages, cancer cells may develop in the lining of the pancreas and become cancerous. There are four stages of pancreatic cancer: stage 0 or precancer, stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4, which means that the cancer has spread to distant organs and lymph nodes. Fortunately, most pancreatic cancers are curable, and the early stages usually do not cause any noticeable symptoms.

Another symptom of pancreatic cancer is jaundice. Jaundice is the color of the blood due to excess bilirubin. When a pancreatic tumor blocks bile from the gallbladder to the small intestine, bile builds up and causes jaundice. This yellowish hue may also be accompanied by itchiness in the skin and dark urine or stools.

If the pancreatic cancer has spread to the nearby organs, the treatment options may vary. It may be curable if detected early, but this treatment is not always possible. The survival rate for pancreatic cancer is poor, so early diagnosis is critical. To lower your risk, avoid smoking, maintain a healthy weight, and limit alcohol intake. Also, be sure to speak with your doctor to discuss your treatment options.

The risk of developing pancreatic cancer is higher for African Americans than for whites, although the reason is still not clear. Some studies have suggested that African Americans have higher rates of obesity, smoking, and diabetes than whites. While it is not completely understood why African Americans are more likely to develop pancreatic cancer, there is a strong link between obesity and the risk. Some studies have also linked a high level of fat, sugar, and red meat consumption with pancreatic cancer.

When the pancreatic cancer has spread to the other organs, it can cause the gallbladder to fill with excess bile. The excess bile can cause the gallbladder to enlarge, and the disease may even lead to gallbladder tumors. Imaging tests can reveal this as well. Once cancer has spread, the cancer may spread to other organs, including blood vessels, the lymph nodes near the pancreas, the liver, or the lungs. This process is known as metastasis.

Although the symptoms of pancreatic cancer are vague in the early stages, they are usually present at some point. They include yellow skin, pain in the abdomen, fatigue, and weight loss. Despite the lack of specific symptoms, it is important to listen to your body’s signals and visit a doctor immediately if you experience any new symptoms. In addition, your doctor may prescribe a diagnostic test to confirm the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Jaundice is a common symptom of pancreatic cancer. However, many people with this disease don’t experience it until it has spread throughout their body. The yellow skin and eyes of those with pancreatic cancer are known as jaundice. Additionally, dark urine and light stools can also be signs of pancreatic cancer. These symptoms aren’t specific to pancreatic cancer, but they are signs of the disease.

Treatment options for pancreatic cancer depend on the stage of the disease and the patient’s health. Surgery to remove the cancerous portion of the pancreas, known as a pancreatectomy, may be necessary. Surgery also involves the removal of lymph nodes from the area near the pancreas. Other options include a modified version of pancreatic cancer surgery, which removes part of the stomach.
